Basti

Basti is an Ayurvedic Panchkarma Therapy and is safe and naturally rejuvenating. Organic dough from special grains is prepared and is shaped into a small dam in a form of a ring or a square and is placed on the affected area. Warm medicated oil is poured into it and held for some time. The oil is retained within the dam at a specific temperature for a specific time. This helps the oil to penetrate deeper into the tissues, softening the stiff and tight muscles. Once the oil is removed, a rhythmic movement with gentle pressure is performed for specific Marma points around the affected area to balance and open up the energy flow. Localized herbal steam may be provided to deepen the effect.
