Swedana is an individual therapeutic herbal stem bath and is given after Abhyanga (External oil application). This is a rejuvenating Ayurveda therapy in which the whole body is safely submerged in herbal steam while the head and heart are kept cool.

 

Our Body is designed to expel toxins from muscles, tissues and organs through the pores of the skin. The steam stimulates the sweat glands to increase perspiration and circulation, opens up the pores of the skin and helps expel the toxins.

 

It is believed to help relieve discomforts of allergies and asthma, relax mind and body, relieve stress, relax muscles and increase body metabolism. It keeps mucous membrane from excessive drying. It is believed to help reduce pain, stiffness, heaviness and coldness in your body.
